McDonald's Corporation (MCD)

McDonald’s Corporation is one of the largest fast-food networks in the world. The company has restaurants in more than 100 countries, serving over 60 million clients per day. The number of McDonald’s Corporation outlets has reached about 36,600. The restaurants are managed either on a franchise system or through McDonald’s branches. The corporation’s major profit comes from rent and royalty income received from franchisees, and sales in its own restaurants.
 
 The company’s history goes back to 1940 when the McDonald brothers opened their first restaurant. In 1948, they added their menu, which included meals that were quite similar to today’s fast food, and introduced the "Speedee Service System". In 1953, the McDonald brothers introduced the “Speedee” mascot wearing a chef hat, which was eventually replaced by clown Ronald McDonald.
