The company’s shares grew steadily. This helped the owner, Jeff Bezos, to launch new projects, including a line of Amazon gadgets, a publishing house called “Amazon Publishing”, and Amazon Studios. The company’s growth is also supported by the success of a ground-breaking segment, Amazon Web Services, which controls 35% of the cloud service market used by large corporations. As of 2016, Jeff Bezos’ fortune was estimated at $62 billion. This is why Amazon shares are popular with long-term investors.
